SERIAN: The Mobile Community Service Programme (Mobile CS) held at Kampung Mongkos longhouse saw a promising turnout, with over 500 residents by 10 am.
Registrations for the Central Database Hub (PADU) surpassed 30, and authorities anticipate this number to exceed 200 by the end of the programme.
Organised by the State Treasury Department, the event featured essential services from 25 government departments and agencies, including the Statistics Department (DOSM), National Registration Department (NRD), and Public Service Commission (PSC).
Federal finance officer of Sarawak Federal Treasury,Leonard Wilfred Yussin, graced the occasion.
The day-long event from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, included various activities such as agency briefings, lucky draws, children’s colouring contests, and adult karaoke contests.
Mobile CS, a mobile service catering to local needs at government-identified locations, is an initiative of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) aimed at providing essential services to rural and inland communities.
The programme offers government services in agriculture, health, and career development, as well as entrepreneurial opportunities such as company registrations.
Moreover, it serves as a platform for direct government aid distribution, reviews of assistance by relevant agencies, and raises public awareness about government policies, programmes, and activities through ministries and government agencies.
