DARO: The Community Solidarity Dialogue Programme (CSDP) plays a role in fostering unity and solidarity to ensure economic, social, and political stability in Sarawak, said Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad.

He commended that the programme, organised annually by the Sarawak Social Development Council (MPS) in each district, was instrumental in bridging communities with government agencies through meaningful social activities.

“The objective of organising this programme aligns with the Sarawak Government’s goal of achieving developed state status and balanced development by 2030,” he said when officiating the CSDP Mukah Division for the Daro District level on Sunday (Nov 3).

Safiee added that the programme also aims to foster unity, strengthen social harmony, and encourage collaboration among various agencies, non-governmental organiSations (NGOs), and local communities in addressing social challenges.

He said that nine CSDP sessions were held last year, with 33 planned for this year.

These sessions aimed to enhance integration and cooperation across diverse communities in terms of race, ethnicity, and age.
