SERIAN: Serian MP Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem has appealed to voters to deliver the three Bidayuh-majority parliamentary seats to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).

The three seats are Serian, Mas Gading and Puncak Borneo. Except for the Serian seat, the other two were won by the opposition in GE14.

“All these seats need to be won with a large majority,” said Riot when he officiated at the Tebedu Heritage Hall (Balai Pusaka Anak Tebedu) and Kampung Tebedu new Catholic cemetery here on Saturday (July 30).

Mas Gading is currently held by Mordi Bimol and Puncak Borneo by Datuk Willie Mongin, Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister Datuk Willie Mongin.

Meanwhile, the construction of the Tebedu Heritage Hall began in 2016 through the Rural Transformation Project (RTP) and is now fully completed at a total cost of RM370,000.

Also present were administrative officers Angela Thomas and Kane Manung Trigger, Sarawak Bumiputera Magistrate John Awan, penghulu Takip Gaup, penghulu Fong Soon Fah and Tebedu Mawang village chief Impur Niyun.
