KUCHING: A Sarawak-born entertainer and entrepreneur Dr Jessie Chung has donated medical supplies, worth RM39,500, to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) here on Friday (Jan 21).

The medical supplies include intensive care unit beds and compression devices.

Chung with her team had organised a charity play, “The Dream of Red Mansions” to raise funds following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Beneficiaries including Hospital Sungai Buloh Kuala Lumpur, Cancer Society Malaysia (mobile vaccination service) and Kentang Fund had received adequate donations from her too.

As the founder of “Dr. Jessie Chung Cancer Foundation” and the vice-chairman of “Malaysian Anti-Cancer Association”, Chung has always been very hardworking, offering warmth to cancer patients and helping many people regain their health.

A simple handing-over ceremony by Chung’s representative Anna Pek was held at the hospital lobby with SGH director Dr Ngian Hie Ung receiving the donations.

“We are really grateful for the donations,” said Dr Ngian after the ceremony ended.
