MIRI: The Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association (PUMM) Sarawak plays a vital role as a platform that not only engages the industry players but also brings them closer to the government, especially post COVID-19.

According to Minister for Transport Sarawak Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, there was a need for engagements between the government and the industry to enable the government to understand various issues faced by the industry in their recovery process.

“We need the support of the business community to avoid excessive profiteering which will cause an increase in the price of goods,” Lee said.

Thus, he said, the role of PUMM Sarawak was vital to bridge the industry with the government so that both parties could work together in the recovery process.

Lee said this during the PUMM Sarawak Liaison Charter Night 2023 on Friday.

Also present were National PUMM president Tan Lay Seong, Sarawak PUMM chairman Lina Hu and former PUMM president Datuk Tony Looi Chee Hong.
