SIMUNJAN: Local entrepreneurs are encouraged to deepen their knowledge to further develop their businesses.
In making this call, Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee said that by participating in workshops or training programmes, it is a progressive step in deepening understanding, especially for entrepreneurs.
“Packaging and labeling are not just about aesthetics but also about conveying important information to consumers, ensuring food safety, and ultimately determining the success of products in the market,” she said in her speech at the closing ceremony of packaging and labeling workshop at the Digital Economy Centre here recently.
Rodiyah said such programmes can expose local entrepreneurs to the importance of high-quality packaging and labeling to enhance attractiveness and information of a product.
“Through this workshop, entrepreneurs will be assisted in improving their products to comply with the standards set by the Food Labeling Act.
“This includes leveraging technology and online platforms to market products that are highly relevant in today’s digital age,” she said.
She added that the workshop also focuses on guiding entrepreneurs in the crucial process of building brand and product identity, including ways to create a strong and easily recognisable brand that can differentiate their products in a competitive market.
