KUCHING: The Sarawak Export Day 2024 kicked off today (Aug 16) with the goal of propelling local manufacturers and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) onto the global stage.

Affin Bank Berhad chairman Datuk Agil Natt hailed the event as a crucial platform for educating and empowering businesses to tap into new markets and strengthen their export capabilities.

“It’s fantastic to see this conference in Sarawak, uplifting our manufacturers and SMEs to become global players,” he told Sarawak Tribune.

Agil said the event played a role in enhancing domestic sales as well.

“Attending sessions with industry experts is invaluable for participants,” he added.

Affin Bank, according to him, is committed to supporting both existing and potential clients in their export ventures.

“We see this as an opportunity to expand our customer base and deepen our relationships with existing ones,” he said.

About 300 participants attended the soft opening of the event at Imperial Hotel.
