PAKAN: Residents of Rh Jantan Tebok here faced a minor disruption after a landslide blocked the main road leading to the longhouse yesterday (Dec 18).

A spokesman for the Civil Defence Force (APM) Pakan said that a team was dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from the longhouse folk.

The landslide had obstructed the road, affecting the locals’ accessibility into the longhouse.

APM personnel, with the help of the residents, proceeded to clear the debris to reopen the road at both the entry and exit points.

To caution the community, the team installed caution tape as a warning sign, urging residents to avoid the area.

The team also swiftly addressed another landslide incident at the junction of SK Nanga Kedup. They cleared the debris and installed caution tape to alert the residents.

The community at both locations were advised to maintain vigilance against more landslides, considering the current uncertain weather conditions.
