KUCHING: Iban Alternative/Indie Rock band Ethnic Transmissions is back again on the Dayak independent music scene with their first single after a 10-year hiatus tomorrow.
The new single entitled Ngelepaska Diri (Let Myself Go) will be a completely different style from what the band had done before.
“But it will still be in line with the band’s unwavering aim of breaking the mould, pushing the standards and presenting the Iban language in a variety of genres not commonly heard in the industry,” the band said in a statement here.
‘Ngelepaska Diri’ will be available for online streaming on Spotify while for those who prefer to have the band’s music in their music folders, the digital audio package for the single, which includes Mp3, wallpaper, cover art, lyrics, guitar chords & tablature will be available for purchase through the band’s Facebook pages.
On the radio, the new single will be premiering exclusively on Cats FM during Rentak Ruai’s Blog Pemerindang segment hosted by DJ Ivy between 3pm – 4pm on that same day.
Apart from the new single, both their 2007 Debut E.P ‘Engka’ (Maybe) and their 2010 9-track self-titled LP will also be available on Spotify.
The digital audio albums are also available for purchase through the band’s Facebook pages.
Currently, the band is already in the pre-production stages for several other follow up tracks, which will be released periodically.
