KUCHING: Movie enthusiasts, get ready! The best of contemporary European films will be shown exclusively at GSC cinema in CityOne Megamall during the 24th European Film Festival (EUFF) from November 2 to 5.

The EUFF is brought to you by the European Union’s delegation to Malaysia. It’s a joint effort with European Union (EU) countries, and also includes Ukraine, Switzerland, and Norway.

EU Ambassador to Malaysia Michalis Rokas said the EUFF is one of Malaysia’s oldest foreign film festivals.

“Starting in 1999, Malaysia has hosted this festival annually. It’s a chance for countries in Europe, like Ukraine, Norway, and Switzerland, to share their love for films and their unique cultures,” he said during a press conference recently.

Kuching is added back on the festival’s tour list, showing the EU’s aim to connect with Malaysians nationwide.

“As we mark 20 years in Malaysia, the EU wants to be closer to all Malaysians, not just in Klang Valley or Peninsular Malaysia,” Rokas added.

Please purchase a RM4 mineral water online via the GSC website, app, or at select cinema ticket booths to get a free ticket. Starting October 9 at 12 pm, RM10 tickets for other films are available through the same channels.
