KUCHING: A total of 300 bubur lambuk packets were distributed the ‘Jerayawara Bubur Lambuk’ Saberkas-Bernas 2017 programme yesterday.
The ‘Jerayawara Bubur Lambuk’ Saberkas-Bernas 2017 programme is hoped to foster the unity and the volunteerism spirits among the youths in the State.
According to the organising chairman of the ‘Jerayawara Bubur Lambuk’ Saberkas-Bernas 2017, Mohamad Razi Sitam the programme is part of Saberkas yearly programme during Ramadan month.
“This is one of our annual events,” said Razi, who is also Saribas Assemblyman, after presenting the ‘bubur lambuk’ to the students and staff of Asia Metropolitan College, Jalan Batu Kawa, here yesterday.
“It is hoped that with the programme such as this, the unity and togetherness among our youths in the State could continue to be strengthened regardless of race .
He added although organised during Ramadan month, the programme also acted as a platform to encourage the youths to contribute to the community through the spirit of volunteerism.
The ‘Jerayawara Bubur Lambuk’ Saberkas-Bernas 2017 programme was sponsored by Bernas and the Malaysian Youth Council (MYC).
Also present were Saberkas Executive Secretary Iszuan Haroni and other officials.
