KUCHING: About 200 officers from the divisional office and headquarters of State Land and Survey Department received the Excellent Service Awards while another seven officers received the Intergrity Officer Awards (anugerah pegawai intergriti) during the Land and Survey Department Sarawak Innovation and Integration Day 2017, at Imperial Hotel here, yesterday.
Meanwhile, State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani who officiated at the event said that Land and Survey Department Sarawak should fully utilise the digital technology in improving a lot more the work process in the department.
“The department is a very high risk digitised department compared to other departments in the state, as the department deals with the people the most,” he added.
He said the government has spent a lot of money to ensure a lot of processes are digitised.
“However, when we digitise the process it must bring benefits to the people and the state, because there is no point for the government to spend money to digitise if at the end of the day the outcome of economic benefit and the improvement of our services to the people is not at its best,” he said.
