KUCHING: Form Five students around the city are excited yet cautious about the reopening of secondary schools starting Wednesday (June 24).

Last June 10, Education Minister Mohd Radzi Md Jidin announced that secondary schools in the country would reopen in phases, first for those taking their leaving examinations, such as Form Five students sitting for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Form Six sitting for Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) examination.

“The opening on June 24 is for students sitting for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM), Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) and Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM),” he said at a press conference that day.

New Sarawak Tribune talked to several Form Five students to get their reactions, many of whom are excited to go to school again and curious about adapting the new norms they have to adapt to.
