KUCHING: Good news concerning the ongoing ‘naked tower’ problem in Sarawak is expected by the end of this month.

Communications and Digital (KKD) Minister, Fahmi Fadzil, said that his ministry has been thoroughly examining the issue.

He said, “We initially planned to share the positive update during my visit today. However, some final discussions are still underway. We aim to make an announcement by the end of the month.”

Fahmi was optimistic that the forthcoming announcement will effectively address the ‘naked tower’ challenges in Sarawak.

He said this when officiating at the state-level National Day and Malaysia Day event at Yayasan Sarawak today (Sept 15).

In response, Utilities and Telecommunication Minister, Datuk Julaihi Narawi, hoped for the federal government to allocate funds assisting the state ensuring our rural communities have internet access.
