SIBU: All Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects involving longhouses in the Bukit Assek constituency have been approved by the Premier’s Office.
In affirming this Bukit Assek assemblyman Chieng Jin Ek hoped the projects could therefore be implemented as soon as possible at nine longhouses there.
“This will show that the GPS government is a responsible government that gives priority to the needs of the people,” he said at a Pre Gawai Ceremony at Rumah Monica Jelira Jugah, Nanga Salim near here Saturday night.
“These projects will definitely improve the lives of rural people and reduce the gap between rural and urban areas,” he said.
Towards this end Chieng pledged to try channeling RTP projects to all longhouses in the constituency every year to further improve their lives.
