KUCHING: Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Chamber (DUBS) is called to explore new ideas that could have a positive impact on the development of the new economy.
In stating this, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg expressed his confidence that with the new ideas, it will definitely transform Sarawak, as the region has an abundance of resources.
“I hope that you will continue to explore new fields and at the same time be involved in the new economy.
“With the three things that I have introduced (carbon storage, production of green energy, and downstream of our natural resources), I hope that it would have an impact on our entrepreneurs who can dabble in the new economy,” he said at the Sarawak Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Award Giving Ceremony at the Riverside Majestic Hotel here last night.
During the ceremony, Abang Johari also mentioned that he had received a courtesy call from the Commonwealth delegation yesterday (Jan 13).
“They had come all the way from London to discuss and learn about hydrogen, which is part of our new economy.
“When they asked how we would export the hydrogen, we said that we would be using the methylcyclohexane (MCH) process. It doesn’t turn into ammonia. It will be in liquid form and directly shipped to our clients.
“We are fortunate to have high-quality water that is able to produce hydrogen, and its production will give us additional revenue. This is the way we want to run our new economy,” he pointed out.
