MUKAH: The Mukah Parliament Youth Organisation will be organising the Extreme Mukah X Factor 2023 programme in conjunction with the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Sarawak’s independence at the Padang Mesra Mukah here on June 17 at 2 pm.

According to the chairman of the organising committee, Tarmizi Abedah, the public is invited to participate in the various programmes and activities that will be provided throughout the day.

He added that the competition rules were provided as guidelines to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of the MUKAH X-FACTOR 2023 competition.

“Participants are advised to read and understand each term and rule of the game before the competition begins.

“Participation is free and open to all visitors to the 60th anniversary of Sarawak’s Independence celebration in Mukah. Physical fitness is required.

“For individual category, only one registered participant is allowed to play at a time and cannot represent or seek or receive assistance from others.

“Participants are required to complete each task set by the organisers, and failure to do so will result in elimination. The competition will be judged based on time or seconds. Participants are only allowed to use their skills and mental and physical strength. Any other form of assistance or equipment is not permitted.

“The participant who successfully completes the task with the fastest time will be considered the winner. Participants are encouraged to wear gloves and shoes for safety purposes. Cheating or deception during the competition is not allowed. If discovered, the participant’s entry will be cancelled.

“Participants are not allowed to engage in provocation, racism, use offensive language, be intoxicated, or engage in any form of gambling among participants during the competition. If a participant is found to be in violation of any of the above rules, their participation will be automatically disqualified.

“Safety, injuries or any unwanted incidents that may occur to participants are their own responsibility, and the organisers will not be held liable for any such occurrences. The decision of the organisers is final,” he said.

Tarmizi further explained that the first task in this activity was to lift a Rumbia tree seedling, the second task was to move sections of the Rumbia and the third task was to separate materials in provided containers.

The fourth task was to lift a blocked log while the fifth task was to move obstructed oil palm fruits.

The competitor who comes first will receive a cash prize of RM300, the second place winner will go home with RM200 while the third place winner will receive RM100. There will be five consolation prizes of RM70 each.
