KUCHING: The frontline staff of Kuching Court has received 50 units of 3D printed face shields from Pustaka Negeri Sarawak and MiLUS Miniatures.
The court assistant registrar Mosidi Husseini received the donation at the court complex yesterday.
Pustaka Negeri Sarawak in a statement said the initiative taken was to provide the protective gear to the frontline workers so that they could carry out their duty safely during the Covid-19 outbreak.
“The face shield was fully made by us and we have used three units of 3D printer which was donated by the US Embassy under the American Corner Sarawak programme and a local company Proteus printer,” the state library said in a statement yesterday.
It added to date, the supply of face shields has also been distributed to the police personnel at the Bintawa Police Station, Kuching District Police Headquarters and Kuching Centre Police Station, medical workers at Normah Medical Specialist Centre and locals involved in agriculture sector and vegetables supplies.
“During this Covid-19 pandemic, it is our shared responsibility to end the disease infection chain,” it said.
