Fadillah opens 62 government and NGO booths at Lan Berambeh 2024

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has officiated the opening of 62 booths set up by government agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) at the 15th edition of the Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (Lan Berambeh) 2024 programme.

The one-day event is taking place today (Oct 19) at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).

Fadillah said Lan Berambeh remains one of the most eagerly awaited events for Sarawakians.

“All Sarawakians in Peninsular Malaysia, whether students, those who have started families, or those working, look forward to this programme.

“We can also see that this year there is an increase in participation from government agencies, NGOs, and industry players,” he said when speaking to the media after the ceremony.

Additionally, Fadillah, who is also the Patron of Sarawak Volunteers, mentioned that various events and activities were organised throughout the programme.

He explained that these included career talks, interviews, job offers, and many more opportunities available for visitors.

Apart from that, he said one of the key highlights of the day is the town hall session with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, which has been highly anticipated by students.

He also expressed his appreciation to the Sarawak government for fully sponsoring the programme.

Also present were Minister of National Unity Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib, and Deputy Minister in Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol.
