KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has been conferred the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Honorary Fellow Award at IEM’s 64th Annual Dinner and Awards held in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday night.
Fadillah said the recognition held profound significance to him.
“With utmost sincerity, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to IEM and the exceptional cohort of understanding individuals who were bestowed with well-deserved accolades. Their remarkable accomplishments serve as beacons of inspiration, igniting a collective drive within our industry to aspire towards a greater Malaysia.
“The IEM 64th Annual Dinner and Awards proved to be an unforgettable experience, one that fills me with immense gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of it. As we reflect on this momentous occasion, I eagerly anticipate the transformative impact we can create together, shaping the future of engineering in our beloved country,” he said on his Facebook post.
Among other notable individuals who received the award were secretary-general of the Ministry of Human Resources Datuk Seri Dr Zaini Ujang, director general of the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR) Datuk Ahmad Redza Ghulam Rasool and Penang exco Zairil Khir Johari.
Meanwhile, Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi also congratulated Fadillah on the latter’s conferment on his Facebook page.
