FADZIL Zahari, the younger brother of actor Farid Kamil, has extended his warm wishes to his brother and Diana Danielle, who recently reconciled on August 31.
According to a local entertainment portal Gempak, Fadzil expressed his wholehearted support for their decision, emphasising the importance of their children’s wellbeing.
“Alhamdulillah, he has made a wise decision for himself and the future of his children. Our family wishes him all the best,” he said.
Fadzil mentioned that they hadn’t had a chance to meet yet due to their busy schedules. The last time they met was at the end of August.
Fadzil, who is married to actress Yana Samsudin, said that he had spent three to four months supporting Farid during a challenging period in his marriage.
“I knew that if Farid had to face his marital problems alone, he might make unwise decisions. When he decided to return to his wife, it was the best choice for him and his children.”
“I have fulfilled my responsibility as a younger brother, and our parents also expected me to accompany Farid as our other siblings have work commitments.
“During the time I spent with Farid, he was doing fine. As a brother, I have advised him on what should be done, and it’s ultimately his decision at the end of the day,” he said.
On August 10, Farid and Diana, after 11 years of marriage, finalised their divorce in an online proceeding conducted through Google Meet before Petaling Syariah Lower Court Judge Shukran Yusof. However, the couple confirmed their reconciliation on August 31.
