KUCHING: Two motorists, who were waiting for their children at the Chung Hua Primary School No. 3 in Padungan here yesterday, were shocked when a tree fell on their vehicles.
The incident occurred during a sudden strong gush of wind that uprooted a big tree at noon.

Meanwhile, in an entirely different incident, a shop assistant was robbed of approximately RM600, which was the day’s collection at a bakery along Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.
The shop assistant was closing for the day when a man came into the shop wearing a full-faced helmet while another man stood guard outside.
The robber, who was armed with a knife, demanded the shop assistant hand over all the cash in the cash register machine.
Fearing for his life, the shop assistant obliged after which the duo immediately fled on a motorcycle.
Police were at the scene to conduct an investigation yesterday morning and found that the shop did not have any surveillance cameras.
On Monday morning, a convenience store at Matang also experienced a similar incident when masked men robbed the cashier at about midnight.
The cashier put up a fight and only his bag was taken. The cash in the cash register was not taken.
