KUCHING: A family of seven including three children was left homeless after a fire razed their house at Kampung Bintawa Ulu on Friday.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that they received a report of the incident at 8.20pm. Three fire stations, Petra Jaya, Padungan and Tabuan Jaya, despatched their men to the scene.
The single-storey house was fully destroyed by the fire.
Firefighters managed to control the fire from spreading to adjacent houses at 8.45pm.
The fire was completely doused at 9.30pm.
No casualties were reported during the incident as the occupants of the house managed to escape to safety.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
