MIRI: A family lost about RM35,000 when their house at Bandar Baru Permyjaya here was burgled.
The family members only realised they had been burgled at about 7.00am yesterday when they woke up to find their front door open.
According to a reliable source, each family member had slept in their own rooms during the incident.
After checking, they discovered a few valuable items were missing. Among them were jewellery, computers, mobile phones and cash.
The burglar/burglars was/were believed to have broken into the house by cutting the locks and tampering with the main door.
Police are investigating the case after a report has been lodged by the family members.
