SAMARAHAN: Four members of a family were injured when their house at Kampung Semawang here was robbed.

According to Kota Samarahan OCPD DSP Sudirman Kram, the incident took place on May 16 and police had received a report of the robbery.

“On Monday at around 2am, the house was robbed while the four occupants were beaten using hard objects after a struggle with the suspects, numbering three persons.

“According to the complainant, a family member who was not at home at the time, was called by one of the victims to inform that they had been robbed and were injured.

“The complainant immediately lodged a police report at 9.52am. Acting upon the report, a forensics unit and a K9 unit were dispatched to the location.”

He added that the complainant’s family members described the three suspects as wearing black clothes and masks and they had demanded money, which then led to a struggle.

“The victims suffered head and bodily injuries. They were sent to hospital for treatment, and are stable.”

Police apprehended the three suspects, aged between 27 and 33, in a nearby village and they are being remanded for six days.
