BINTULU: Father of three, Mohamad Syukri Mohamad Adnan, made his family a motivating catalyst to achieve his dream of continuing his studies to a higher level.
He was determined to give a better life to his children, wife, and family.
The 38-year-old Master of Science in Human Development graduate from Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu campus now serves as the chief administrator in the Student Management Office at the university.
Mohamad Syukri aspires to become a lecturer to serve the community and share his knowledge with future generations.
“For me, the faces of my children and my wife and family members are the motivation to get up and continue my studies.
“However, this journey is not easy because one also faces various challenges in pursuing one’s ambitions.
“It is not easy to divide time. As the head of the household, I need to focus on ambitions and education.
“However, in order to achieve success, sacrifice is a must,” he said after receiving his scroll at the 48th Convocation of UPM here on Saturday.
He emphasised the importance of discipline in time management and being professional by not mixing work time and family time.
“That is the key to my success all this time,” he added.
Mohamad Syukri realises that the main enemy in his struggle is time and energy.
“Sometimes, unstable nature and emotions can disrupt the momentum, but the support from family members has been my strength to this day,” he said.
Although the responsibility he bore felt heavy, he never regretted it.
“I do all this for the sake of the future. God willing, all dreams can come true if the intention is sincere.
“What is important is to focus and hold tight to the goal you want to achieve,” he added.
Mohamad Syukri believes that nothing is impossible if one is determined to achieve.
