KUCHING: The Football Association of Sarawak president Dato Posa Majais said that his side wanted an excellent performance from the two new import stars, Mohamad Sahil Suhaimi and Milos Raickovic.
According to him, it is crucial to ensure that an early win against Kelantan with full points be achieved at the Sultan Muhamad IV stadium on July 1.
“We are hoping that both of them can form a stronger partnership with the other players as we are focused on winning against Kelantan,” said Posa, when attending the Lea Sports Centre breaking of fast event at Grand Margherita Hotel, Wednesday.
He acknowledged that both import players are showing compatibility with other players over the course of a month under the training session and some friendly matches.
It is hoped that positive change will continue to be an additional tonic for the team’s driver (David Usop) to ensure that the team are ready, said Posa.
“The remaining nine matches must be fully utilised by the players in their effort to improve the team standing,” he said.
The state’s football squad are currently in 10th position with 11 points after two wins and five draws in 13 games so far.
