KUALA LUMPUR: Fastroll Labels (M) Sdn Bhd, which designs and manufactures a wide variety of labels and stickers, is targeting to further expand its Asian market next year.

The company has been printing custom labels for practically any market for more than 20 years to 72 countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Mexico, the US, and New Zealand.

Its sales and marketing manager Nur Zahera Jumal said in pursuing its aim, Fastroll strives to increase its total revenue by 10 per cent next year from the projected RM10 million this year.

In 2018, Fastroll Labels achieved a revenue of RM8.5 million, supported by increased purchases from small businesses, especially start-ups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

“Our major market segments are made up of the food and beverage, electrical and electronics, cosmetic, household product, industrial, and pharmaceutical sectors.

“Our products cater to practically any industry as long as they need packaging labels and stickers,” she told Bernama on the sidelines of the Third Selangor International Business Summit 2019 (SIBS 2019).

As for this year, Fastroll Labels is only focusing on Malaysian SMEs.

“We are also an SME that needs help from local SMEs to increase our revenue. Hence, we are willing to help them (SMEs) tap into the overseas market,” she said.

The company has about 20 printing and finishing machines for different processes of production of labels and stickers.

Fastroll Labels also provides solutions to secure customer’s product items with a unique fingerprint on the product packaging.

“Embed with the world’s only QR (quick response) code per label, our label helps protect physical goods from counterfeiting,” she added.

On the SIBS, Nur Zahera said the exhibition is platform to promote the company’s products and services to the domestic and overseas markets.

“It is a great way to introduce our products and services to our target markets, especially local SMEs that may have little or no knowledge of our company,” she said.

The four-day event themed ‘Your Gateway to Asean’, which ends on Sunday, is a platform for key business players, investors and decision-makers from various industries to connect, collaborate and create opportunities.

Organised by Invest Selangor Bhd, the SIBS 2019 features more than 800 booths and is expected to attract 30,000 visitors. – Bernama
