SELANGAU: A 40-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle skidded and crashed onto the roadside along Mile 36, Jalan Selangau-Sibu last night (Dec 2).
Civil Defence Force (APM) Selangau district officer Lt Luke Douglas Dongum in a statement, said the victim was identified as Imizyani Kana Chat.
He stated that they were alerted of the motorcycle crash by the public around 7.50pm.
Following that, an APM team together with Stapang police and Selangau health clinic were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, they found the victim lying on the road, surrounded by concerned passers-by.
Paramedics, upon examination, declared that the victim died at the scene and his body was handed over to the police to be taken to the hospital.
