BAU: A father and son died in a fatal four-vehicle crash along Jalan Taman Siniawan today (June 27).

The accident, involving a lorry, a van, a Perodua Kancil and a Proton Persona, happened around 2.55pm.

Firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.

Upon arrival, they found two men were trapped in the Kancil and extrication works were performed using rescue tools.

However, the victims, identified as Atong Nebok, 64, and Wilson Abong, 36, were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Their bodies were taken to Bau Hospital for post-mortem procedures.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the other vehicles, who sustained light injuries, were rescued by members of the public.

All of them were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
