MIRI: A 22-year-old female motorist escaped serious injuries after she was thrown out of her car in an accident at KM2, Miri-Bintulu road early yesterday. The victim was on her way back from work in Marina Bay here and heading towards Taman Bumiko when the car suddenly skidded off the road.
She was thrown off the car as the vehicle flipped over and landed on the other side of the lane. A team of seven firemen from Miri Fire Station rushed to the scene after responding to an alert on the crash at 1.38am. Paramedics sent the injured motorist to Miri Hospital where she was warded.
