KUCHING: The Malays i a Product ivi ty Corporat ion (MPC) Sarawak Regional Office together with Open University Malaysia (OUM) yesterday held the fifth series of the CEO Talk 2017.

The opening ceremony was officiated at by MPC board member Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg which was held at the university in Kuching.

“These programmes have shown a positive response from both the government and business community as they provide a platform for participants to share and learn together in order to move forward,” Abang Abdul Karim said. He added that an appropriate eco-system is needed in order to enable the process of digitalisation and he applauded OUM for steering its staff and students in that direction.

“We hope that OUM will be able to contribute to the human resources capital as we need the talent to enable this agenda of digitalisation. “MPC also plays a part in thi s process by providing an ecosystem to allow this process to happen,” he said in his speech.

He also said that it is now critical to be able to think outside of the box and to not remain complacent. “We are trying to penetrate the world market as there is a lot of opportunities out there,” he said.
