The three-day workshop was held at Grand Dormani Hotel from 18 March to 20 March and was aimed at brainstorming ideas on various events that should be held in 2017 within the DBKU area of jurisdiction.
Participants consisted of those Pemanca, Penghulu, Village chiefs, Kapitan, KJM Chairman and village representatives from constituencies such as Semariang, Satok, Tupong, Demak Laut and Pantai Damai.

“From time to time, we want to give more empowerment to the community to increase the quality and livelihood with their own means.
“Through this workshop, participants are able to share experiences from respective community and ideas could be brainstormed to tackle certain issues that may cause problems within the community,” said Wahap.
Representative from the five constituencies also had a presentation session where they each shared their Action Plan to allow more community involvement in future programmes and hence, empowering them at the same time.
