Final year projects earn Swinburne good repute

KUCHING: A total of 181 projects by final-year students from diverse disciplines were put on display at the Swinburne Final Year Project (FYP) Showcase here.

The Dec 4 event organised the university’s Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Science, was attended by over 400 delegates including 38 industrial
guests.

Industry representatives provided invaluable feedback to the projects, giving them valuable insights to inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists and technologists.

The comprehensive efforts and initiatives displayed during the event have positioned Swinburne Sarawak as a prominent industry-engagement institution of higher learning.

“This not only supports our final-year students in showcasing their research projects but also propels Swinburne University towards a future-ready status through broader external engagement domestically and internationally,”it said.

“As a testament to commitment to industry relevance, three certificates under the Swinburne Sarawak Industry Immersion Programme (SSIIP) and 14 certificates under the School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) were conferred to students who had completed the respective programmes,”it added.

The event opened with an oral and poster presentation on the Analog IC Design and IC Testing Programme by Centexs.
