SARATOK: Single mothers are urged to continue to find creative ways to work hard in increasing their household income.
This advice came from Kalaka assemblyman Datuk Abdul Wahab Aziz who noted that it is no doubt that single mothers are having a hard time to increase their economy.
“However, they should not be completely dependent on the government even if various forms of assistance and programmes for single mothers are created,” he said.
He said this when officiating at the establishment of Sarawak Single Mothers Association (Pitsa) Saratok branch here on Sunday (Aug 23).
On the same day, Wahab also presented contribution to the New Generation Kabo Church in Krian.
Previously, the church had applied for assistance to maintain the cemetery area in the Kabo area, cleaning of the church grounds and building a fence.
