BINTULU: Petronas confirmed that a fire broke out at approximately 6am on Feb 22, 2019 at the sea cooling water outfall channel outside of the plant process area at Petronas LNG Complex, Bintulu.
According to a press statement issued yesterday, Petronas’ on-site emergency response team was immediately mobilised to control the situation.
The fire was successfully put out at 6.48am.
There were no injuries to any personnel or adverse effect to the nearby communities.
All relevant authorities have been informed and investigations are currently ongoing to identify the root cause of the incident.
