MIRI: Firefighters from Miri Fire Station and policemen were seen converging on a house at Pujut 3 here in the wee hours yesterday after they were informed of a probable fire incident.
It was believed that a column of smoke coming out of the area was caused by a burning CCTV cable in the premises.
In the 1am incident, one fire engine and a mobile police vehicle (MPV) were dispatched to the location.
Upon arrival at the location the fire had almost died out.
However, the team immediately did not take any chances and conducted a thorough check of the building and surrounding area.
