MIRI: Nine firemen from Miri fire station were deployed to Taman Gilbert on Sunday night to put out a house fire.
According to Zone 6 fire chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, a report on the fire was received at around 9.47pm.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. When the fire broke out, everyone in the house managed to run to safety.
Neighbours and residents of the house doused the flames to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent houses.
Their swift action prevented the house from being razed to the ground.
The firemen arrived to find the fire had been contained.
