LAWAS: An evening inferno at Kampung Seberang Kedai, Trusan, rendered two families homeless after two houses were destroyed on Sunday.
Firemen from the Lawas station were despatched to the scene, about 28km from the station, after receiving an emergency call around 8.35 pm.
They arrived to find that both houses were up in flames and proceeded to put out the flames.
No injuries or casualties were reported as all 10 tenants had managed to escape safely.
The fireman finished their work at around 10.50 pm. Both houses were completely destroyed.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
