MIRI: A fire destroyed two houses yesterday, leaving 12 people homeless in Kampung Muhibbah Kuala Baram.
Acting Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Zone 6 Miri chief Senior Supt II Ahmad Nizam Sapaiee said, 11 firemen from Lopeng fire station were despatched to the scene located 24km from the station in response to an alert call on the incident at 3.28pm.
“Two houses were completely destroyed in the incident while the other two nearby houses sustained 10 per cent damage,” he said.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
