KUCHING: A factory was partially destroyed in a morning fire in Siburan on yesterday.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received a distress call at 2.32am regarding the fire.
Firefighters from the Siburan station rushed to the scene.
Initial investigation revealed that the fire is believed to have started from the cable of a vacuum machine that ignited wood debris, wooden boards and wood dust.
Firefighters managed to fully put out the flames in just 10 minutes using the RECEO (Rescue, Exposure, Confine the Fire, Extinguish, Overhaul) method.
The operation ended at 3.03am after further safety assessment.
