MARUDI: An office unit of a government building at Jalan Sentosa here was razed by fire on this morning (June 16).
The Marudi fire station deployed 10 firemen to the scene upon responding to an alert on the incident at 5.55am to extinguish the flames.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief, Supt Law Poh Kiong, said the fire destroyed about 80 percent of the unit.
The firemen managed to put out the blaze in about half an hour.
There were no reports of injuries or casualties in the incident.
The cause of the fire and damage to properties are yet to be determined as investigations are underway.
