SIBU: Dayak Bikers Motor Club (DBMC) Chapter Sibu recently held a ‘Charity Ride’ to raise donations for fire victims of Rumah Julau Muli, Ulu Pasai Siong here.
The event was participated by members of motorcycle clubs here such as Borneo Bikers Motor Club (BBMC), Lanun Riders Motor Club (LRMC Bikers), Evolution Rider Club Sibu (ERCS), Freeriders Motor Community (FMC), Hornbill Clan Motor Club (HCMC), Sibu Extreme Bikers Community (SEBC), Sibu Zone Kapcai Rayau (KRZS), Remaong Borneo Motor Club (RBMC), Antu Jalai and Raban Pemuda Dayak Sibu Jaya (RPDSJ).
DBMC Chapter Sibu district leader Geoffery Binus said the ‘Charity Ride’ programme also aimed at enhancing friendship and cooperation among motorcycle clubs in Sibu.
The donations raised during the event were used to purchase food and daily necessities for the fire victims.
Yesterday, 22 members of the motorcycle clubs went on a convoy from Sibu to Rumah Julau Muli located in Ulu Pasai Siong to present the villagers the food aid.
The convoy was welcomed by TR Julau as well as other fire victims of the 17-door longhouse which was burned down recently.
