SIBU: Dayak Bikers Sarawak and Borneo Bikers of Sibu branch in collaboration with Raban Bikers Sarawak Sibu branch recently organised a charity roadshow to assist the fire victims of Rumah Dingon Megong, Sekuau Resettlement Scheme.
At the event, the clubs presented their donations of food, clothes, daily necessities and cash.
Also present were Dayak Bikers Sarawak Sibu branch head Juing Kanyong, Borneo Bikers Sibu branch head Billy Jemat and Raban Bikers Sarawak Sibu branch head Laririson Lang.
Juing said the collaboration among the motorcycle clubs here has made the humanitarian programme successful.
“Our hope is that more government agencies or non-governmental organisations can provide this kind of assistance in the future,” he said.
The 22-door longhouse was destroyed in a fire on Feb 10 which had left a total of 123 of its occupants homeless.
