SRI AMAN: Some 44 people from 12 families, who were made homeless following a fire that razed Rumah Annie William, Kampung Semawa Ulu Pantu last May 27, received some donations yesterday.

The donations comprising some cash and foodstuff came from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sri Aman branch and were presented to the victims by PKR Sri Aman coordinator Norina Umoi Utot.

“I hope the victims will be patient. It’s a sad thing to happen especially when they were preparing for the Gawai,” Norina said.

Also present was PKR Sri Aman branch chairman Yen Jebeni.

A grateful Tuai Rumah Annie William said, “Thank you for the donations, which will surely help reduce the burden of the victims.
