KUCHING: Two people had to be extricated from their vehicles after a two-vehicle collision at Jalan Diplomatic yesterday.
A spokesperson of the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the department was informed of the collision at approximately 6.55am.
A team of firefighters from Petra Jaya fire station deployed to the scene found both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles.
Firefighters used special tools to free the two drivers who were later taken to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH). The rescue operation ended at 7.41am.
According to sources, one of the drivers, a 35-year-old civil servant, suffered a broken femur bone following the impact of the crash.
