SIBURAN: Firefighters assisted a homeless man to Serian Hospital after he fell ill under Tapah Bridge, Jalan Kuching- Serian last night.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firefighters from Siburan station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at 7.42 pm.

Upon arrival, the team found two homeless individuals under the bridge – one of whom was lying down due to illness, while the other appeared to be in good health.

The sick individual reportedly experienced fever, cough, fatigue, stomach pain, and chest pain but was still conscious.

The team carried him out from under the bridge and transported him to the hospital for further treatment.

Once the situation was deemed safe, the team departed back to their station.
