KUCHING: Firemen managed to put out a fire at BDC Thursday afternoon and prevented it from spreading to neighbours’ residences.
The fire started outside the double storey house where there were hazardous materials left outside. When the owner saw the materials on fire, he called the Fire and Rescue Services Department whose personnel using a vehicle were despatched immediately to the scene.
Firemen managed to control the fire from spreading. Burned were also some plastic chairs while the ceiling at the car porch was also slightly damaged by the fire.
