MIRI: A rubbish burning activity went out of control after the fire spread to a nearby bush area at Jalan Miri Bypass traffic light today morning.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA), around one acre of the bush area was destroyed in the incident.
Following a distressed call received at 10.28 am today, a team of eight firemen from Lopeng fire station with one fire engine were deployed to the fire scene to bring the fire under control.
The operation ended at around 11.15 am.
