KUCHING: A jungle trekking trip nearly turned into a nightmare for a family of four who got lost in Permai Camp on Sunday (Feb 13).
The trekkers – a man and three women aged between 22 and 55 – were eventually found safe by firemen from Petra Jaya station who responded to a call to look for them.
The jungle trail is near Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) but they still failed to find their way out.
A spokesman for the Sarawak Fire Department operations centre said they received a report on the incident around 5.15pm.
